  I like to give credit where it is due, and in my opinion these guys are heroes.
  
  Earlier today I found myself in Hornsby, broken down with a flat battery. I was there picking up an Ebay purchase from an apartment block. My car was parked in the apartments underground secure car park - and I didn't have easy access in or out. Roadside assistance was going to be a couple of hours off - and if they turned up I had no way to get them into the car park. To make the situation more interesting - I'm both recovering from an over-enthusiastic City2Surf effort (complete with limp), am sick with a cold, and I was well outside my neighbourhood. Basically I was up a well known creek without a much needed paddle!
  
  On the off chance that I might be able to get help, I hobbled into a few nearby mechanics to see if they could get me going. No luck on the first two places (fair enough, my request was on the spot and an unusual one). Despite being quite busy, the guys at Tyrepower cheerfully offered to help. This was even though I wasn't planning on buying a battery from them (which I made clear), and not intending to return with future business - like I said, it's well outside my neighbourhood.
  
  A guy named Doran helped me out. He stopped what he was doing, and without fuss immediately carried the tools he needed, the distance to where I was parked. Thanks to his help, the situation was quickly and expertly solved, and I again had a running car.
  
  The icing on the cake - Doran flat out refused to take payment. Not in a half-hearted way, hoping that I would insist - the sentiment was absolutely genuine.
  
  What do you call people who do things like that? I'll tell you - legends, absolute legends.
